What is DBFEX?

The Distilled Barrel Financial Exchange (DBFEX) is a digital marketplace dedicated to purchasing, holding, and reselling barrels of distilled spirits. The platform allows distilleries, brokers, bottlers, and institutional investors to interact on a safe and secure exchange to buy and sell both aged and new fill whiskey barrels.

DBFEX is open to qualified subscribers in the whiskey industry, including distilleries, brokers, bottlers, and institutional investors. All users must complete a verification process to ensure they meet DBFEX’s criteria for participation.

To register on DBFEX, each subscriber must complete a Know Your Business (KYB) process to confirm they are a legitimate individual or business entity within the distilled spirits or financial industries. This includes providing essential business information and relevant documentation to verify a subscriber’s identity and authenticity.

DBFEX has a multi-step verification process to confirm the identity and legitimacy of each subscriber. This includes collecting essential business documentation, verifying contact information, and conducting additional checks to maintain a trustworthy marketplace.

Only verified subscribers are permitted to list barrels on DBFEX. Before a barrel can be listed, DBFEX compliance conducts additional verifications to confirm the existence and authenticity of each barrel.

DBFEX requires sellers to provide documentation that confirms the authenticity and ownership of each barrel before listing. The DBFEX compliance team reviews and validates this information and verifies the storage location by obtaining confirmation from the facility where the barrels are held.

No, all barrels must go through a verification process before being listed on DBFEX, ensuring accuracy and authenticity.
